A unique picture, brilliantly captured by photographer Stephan van Fletteren, reflects the vibrancy that characterises Maassen's work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In my doodle rendition, I wanted to encapsulate that same energy and took a raw and expressive approach. The lines are deliberately bold and less circular, to emphasise the purity and contrast that characterise Maassen's personality. This particular doodle has a special place in my heart and remains one of my favourites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interestingly, my move into doodling was initially a personal exercise to enhance my ability to handle light and shadow in portraits. But now I make weekly portraits and even commissions.
