Strong<\/em> is the second work in my Painted Fragments series, in which I do not show the whole face but only the one fragment in which power concentrates.<\/p>\n You see a look that stays put. Not loud, not dominant, but determined and present. In this series, I opted for sharper contrasts and a tighter structure. The wool is layered like paint, like strokes of a brush across the canvas. There is more tension between light and dark. The warp lines are more precise and cutting, making the look not only visible but also tangible.<\/p>\n Strong<\/em> is not an expressive statement but a concentrated presence.
