Lupin

A year and a half ago, I started making weekly scribble portraits. Not with the intention of making them for sale. Purely for training purposes. Because by scribbling, I learn and continue to actively train my brain to read faces. Where is the darkness, where is the light? Where are the facial features? How do I make that smile? Ultimately, I use all this training to create my textile portraits.

I always look for portraits with a 'learning objective'. Except for this one!

I took a weekend off and apparently taking time off doesn't quite work out after all.. haha. With Netflix on and watching the amazing series 'Lupin', I couldn't help but look up Omar Sy. Great actor and what a wonderful, beautiful guy. Nothing doctrinal. Lovely guy to watch and draw from.

I made this scribble during my binge watching. Okay, I had to rewind a few times because I get completely lost in the drawing but that's fine!

By the way: highly recommended. Lupin via Netflix. Impressive and delightfully easy at the same time.
