Het leven van een kunstenaar begint bij passie, creativiteit en liefde voor het ambacht. Maar alleen daarmee bouw je nog geen kunstenaarsbestaan op.
De andere kant is minder romantisch maar niet minder realistisch. Want hoe geef je vorm aan een bestaan waarin kunst en ondernemerschap samenkomen?
In deze video, gemaakt voor Karakter faculteit Oss, vertelt Lisette over de bewuste keuze om vanaf de start met een bedrijfscoach te werken.
The New Vermeer
Nog voordat Lisette besloot om het kunstenaarschap fulltime voort te zetten, bereikte zij de finale van het tv-programma ‘De Nieuwe Vermeer’.
Voor het programma maakte zij een textiele interpretatie van een verdwenen werk van Johannes Vermeer, gebaseerd op historische bronnen. De uitdaging om de sfeer en zeggingskracht van Vermeer te vertalen naar textiel vormde een bijzonder moment aan het begin van haar kunstenaarschap.

In 2023, Lisette’s work was selected for a digital exhibition at the Mauritshuis in The Hague. She also reached the final of the TV programme ‘De Nieuwe Vermeer’.
