In this video, produced for the Karakter faculty in Oss, Lisette talks about her conscious decision to work with a business coach right from the start.
The New Vermeer
She has only just decided to pursue her career as an artist full-time, and Lisette has reached the final of the TV programme ‘De Nieuwe Vermeer’.
For the programme, she created a textile interpretation of a lost work by Johannes Vermeer, based on historical sources. The challenge of translating Vermeer’s atmosphere and expressiveness into textiles marked a special moment at the start of her career as an artist.

In 2023, Lisette’s work was selected for a digital exhibition at the Mauritshuis museum in The Hague. Her interpretation of The Girl with a Pearl Earring, in the spot where Vermeer’s real girl is normally on display.
She also reached the final of the TV programme ‘De Nieuwe Vermeer’.
