extra layer

I deliver all my works personally to people’s homes. I get to visit the most beautiful houses. But what I find particularly fantastic is that, whilst I do get to visit the most beautiful homes, I never actually visit a ‘VT wonen’ house. Or should I say: a house like the ones you see in a home magazine?
These are homes where people live. Each has its own atmosphere, its own story, and people who truly feel at home there.

What I often notice is that a work of art can add just that extra layer. And for everyone, that layer is different. Sometimes a work makes a space feel more like home. Sometimes it’s a splash of colour. For one person, it’s the story behind it, whilst for another, it’s an extra burst of energy.

Not just adding things, but a piece of work that becomes part of the house. Part of a room. Part of the daily lives of the people who live there.

A home that’s lived in isn’t one-dimensional; it has layers. Layers that you add. Layers of life.
