This is one of the first children's drawings I made, based on a children's drawing I found online. It was this drawing that inspired me to start working with children's art. What I find so special about this drawing is that it is a child's interpretation of Paul Klee's work "Castle and Sun". The way the child interpreted the artwork is just beautiful.
When I work with children's drawings, I try to stay as close as possible to the child's original drawing. If they have coloured outside the lines, I colour outside the lines. If there are pencil marks and scratches, I leave them. This approach to working with children's art is a wonderful complement to my own design work. Not only is it sometimes fun to work on other people's designs, but children's art is also incredibly inspiring.
