I work with wire. Thousands of stitches, time and time again, over and over, until a certain look emerges. Until I feel: now it’s right. The energy, the emotion, the presence. And all in perfect balance.
After working as a full-time artist for almost four years, I’m realising more and more that it all makes sense. This is where everything falls into place.
I’ve always been very perceptive and observant. Small details, emotions, energies and things that are sometimes difficult to explain.
I’m now giving shape to that with thread. Can I put it into words? Can I grasp it?.
My work isn’t just about how someone looks. It’s about what you feel when you really look at someone.
