Soul Searching
What happens when you look beyond the surface? When you look beyond the outside and seek the soul?
Soul Searching began as an experiment. I had an AI photo generator take portraits and discovered that they all showed the same blank beauty: perfectly symmetrical faces. Flawless but also soulless.
That's why I went looking for myself. For that real look. That imperfection that actually gives strength.
Because what I want to capture is energy, emotion and presence. Not an image that is only beautiful to look at, but a look that touches you.
A look that lingers.

eyes without gloss
My designs for portraits or eyes often start with photographs. For this series, I deliberately used an AI photo generator. The outcome was fascinating: perfect portraits with eyes that say nothing.
Beauty without a heartbeat. Eyes without luster. As if someone is watching but no one is home.
And just that became my starting point. These photos became my basis but I went looking for the soul. For faces with energy. For colour that breathes. For a look that does look at you and tells a story. Not perfect. Not symmetrical. But real.
Glances that touch you
Coarse jute gives Wise an unpolished soul. The abstract planes give Brave her fierceness, where Pure (on unbleached cotton) actually calls for detail.
Each portrait required its own technique, its own colour and its own rhythm. Each work a different format to suit the energy.
These portraits look at you. They are not smooth or perfect. They are real. With a look that comes in, sometimes bright, sometimes soft, but always present. A client said earlier about Brave: "In the beginning, I found her intense. Now she touches me and I find her so powerful.
These are works that look back. Looks that touch you.

what sticks
A work from the series Soul Searching changes the space. It brings colour that breathes, eyes that look back and energy that lingers.
Each work in its own way. Sometimes intense, sometimes soft, but always with a presence that is palpable.
These works are not made just to be looked at. They look back. They see you too.
They don't disappear into your interior but become a tangible part. A daily energy that shows you that beauty is not about symmetry or perfection, but about authenticity you can feel.
