At Intense is all about the eyes. Big and intense. Expressive, with bold lashes that make the look even more powerful. They draw you in and don't let go.

The face is composed of numerous planes, sleek and graphic, with minimal details. Nose, eyebrows and eye sockets are not worked out in realism, but in lines and colour divisions that create a lively rhythm. This creates a contrast: the eyes full of detail and shine, juxtaposed against the abstraction of the face.
For this work, I worked with forty to fifty different colours. It was a search for balance: natural in tone, but with small explosions of brightness that add to the look.

Intense is a work that does not let go. It confronts, holds your gaze. It creates an encounter. Grand and intense.
