Wonderings arose from my search for ways to draw and paint with wire. I look for lines or visible dots of wire that I have control over. With which I can build small forms of colour, detail and movement. A different technique and structure to draw with.

Coarse cross-stitch allows me to create layered abstract compositions in which material, direction and colour merge. From a distance, the works look soft and hushed. Closer up, more and more nuances, structures and differences appear between the threads.

What becomes visible changes with distance and differs for everyone watching.
