For ten months, this work hung in my hallway.
Not in the studio. Not in the art gallery. But in a place where everyone sees the work.
She was finished. Framed. Ready to be sold.
And still I couldn't manage to let go of her.
Maybe you recognise that feeling with certain works of art. That they evoke something.
That people keep looking. That it makes a space feel different. And that happened here constantly.
Everyone who walked by stopped for a moment. Really every time. And the remarkable thing was: everyone saw something different. A detail. An emotion. A colour. A memory perhaps.
The series I had Wonderings and that appears to be it.
Because the work keeps moving in your head, even after you have moved on.
