Where Tulips remains completely flat and plays with clipped lines and subtle textural differences, explores Tulip precisely the power of height, material and structure.

In this work, I brought together different yarns (from mohair and tweed to yarns with subtle glitter) so the surface constantly changes under the influence of light and distance.

Combining both cut thread and bouclé thread creates soft elevations, dense structures and more tactile sections within the work. This gives the shape of the tulip an almost sculptural presence in the space.

Although both works stem from the same source of inspiration but each explores a completely different approach to texture, rhythm and material.
